Common questions
When do I pay?
Payment is collected at the time of article submission. If we haven't found a suitable reviewer within 5 business days, contact us and we'll issue a full refund - it typically appears on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
What if the reviewer misses the deadline?
Contact us and we'll help arrange a replacement reviewer at no extra cost. We take reviewer reliability seriously when matching future assignments.
How are reviewers selected?
All reviewers are verified through their institutional email address. We manually approve each reviewer before they are assigned any manuscript, and we match them based on declared expertise in the relevant subfield.
Is the review confidential?
Yes. By default, reviews are shared only with the submitting journal. Open review options are on our roadmap for a future release.
How are reviewers paid?
Reviewers are paid once they submit a completed review - whether the journal accepts or declines it. Payment is processed via bank transfer or Stripe.
Why does Peeranha keep 15%?
Traditional peer review pays reviewers nothing. Peeranha guarantees 85% of every fee goes straight to them - the rest covers verification, secure manuscript handling, and running the platform. Each reviewer is paid the same fixed amount regardless of how many reviewers you request; requesting more reviewers means a higher total, not a smaller share per reviewer.
